METAL FABRICATION (WELDING)
The Sheet Metal Fabrication and Welding Program at the Massachusetts Career Development Institute embrace our motto and philosophy: “Supporting transformation-one person at a time. “MCDI” will provide prospective student with instruction in sheet metal and welding processes. Blueprint reading, sheet metal layout, interpretation, and welding processes are explored throughout this comprehensive and accelerated five month program. Training is directed toward the development of skills that may provide an opportunity to enter the metal and welding industry.
Your courses will include: Shop equipment including:

Sheet metal layout

Sheet metal hand tools

Drill press
Scroll bender

No previous training or experience is necessary, but requirements for the program include:
High School diploma/GED preferred
Minimum 7
th grade level in math/reading skills or higher.
Good-excellent personal skills and work ethic, highly motivated
Average manual dexterity
A recommendation from the counseling department.
TB Test Required
